In my photography I strive to capture "Ichigo Ichie", a Japanese expression meaning "an unprecedented, unrepeatable encounter"; with regard to photography, to me, this equates to a beautiful, frozen moment in time. Welcome to my site.

The site starts with the Featured Galleries that contain what I consider to be my "Top 40" plus my top five portraits and top five black and white images. This section also includes new galleries from my most recent travels or photography outings.

I specialize in travel photography and have organized my travel images in the galleries section geographically -- the galleries include: Paris (my "home town"), France other than Paris, Europe other than France, Africa and the Middle East, Americas, and Asia.

I have written a number of travel and photography features for Vivid Light Photography Magazine on where to take the best pictures in various places around the world, see:http://www.vividlight.com. I also occasionally lead private photo safaris in Paris dedicated to improving photography skills while taking pictures in the "City of Light".

Other galleries on this site include: an Animals Gallery with images taken during my travels to South Africa and Botswana as well as other animal and bird images from various locations; a Photography Gallery with black & white images as well as statues, flowers, still lifes, doors and windows, and other things that are difficult to categorize; and, a People Gallery with family, friends and candids or shots taken with models during various classes and shoots. Finally, an "other" gallery that contains images from my trip to Antarctica over Christmas 2001 -- the turning point for my photography.

As noted above, I am very happy to say that I live in Paris. I moved to here (2006) from Strasbourg in Alsace, a beautiful region in eastern France - the images will attest.
